POLK MECHANICAL COMPANY LLC is seeking a Start-up Technician to bring new HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to life. You’ll verify installation quality, run functional checks, and ensure compliance with codes. The role requires independent work with coordination from management.

You will review drawings, manage equipment storage, and maintain detailed status reports while addressing any deficiencies promptly. Growth opportunities and benefits are available.

Responsibilities

• Oversee correct storage of equipment awaiting installation and follow special requirements.
• Review technical drawings and correct errors or omissions.
• Verify components and systems installed per city and trade codes.
• Ensure equipment is plumb, level, and aligned after installation.
• Test newly installed equipment to meet engineering or factory specs.
• Check interface between control systems and connected equipment.
• Maintain a continuous, accurate status report of completed work.
• Document and follow up on identified deficiencies for corrective action.
• Submit startup forms and documentation to the project manager or supervisor.
