Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Commissioning Supervisor-Level 3 for a 1-year contract in Florida. You will direct planning, execution and testing of new construction power plant commissioning within budgets and schedules, engaging EPC Contractors, OEMs and utilities. Reports to the on-site Manager.

Ideal candidates have 11+ years in plant commissioning, engineering background, and ability to drive risk mitigation, validation, and startup readiness across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or related field (or equivalent).
• 11+ years of experience in power plant commissioning with EPC contractors and suppliers.
• Experience coordinating with engineers, contractors and utilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale commissioning projects with budget and schedule oversight.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams of engineers, supervisors, and contractors.
• Drive process improvements and mitigate risks in commissioning programs.
• Lead technical validation and operations readiness assessments.
• Serve as subject matter expert in commissioning and startup processes.
• Perform system turnover walkdowns and ensure quality handover to Operations.

About the role: Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408

We are looking for a Commissioning Supervisor-Level 3 on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) You will direct the planning, execution, and testing of new construction power plant commissioning within defined budgets, schedules, and environmental targets.

You will directly interacts with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, OEM equipment suppliers, off-taker Utilities, regional transmission system operators, Plant Operations, and staff organizations to develop a fully integrated commissioning plan and to manage issues as they arise. You would need to have a understanding of engineering principles related to power plant commissioning. You will report to the onsite Manager.

1-year contract assignment. (W-2)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage large-scale commissioning projects, including budget and schedule oversight.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams of engineers, supervisors, and contractors.
• Drive process improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead technical validation and operational readiness assessments.
• Act as subject matter expert in commissioning and startup processes.
• Through system turnover walkdowns and execution of the verification and Validation checks, assures a quality product meeting the project's performance objectives is accepted from the construction contractor(s) in the required sequence, tested, and turned over to the Operations Department.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant Experience: 11+ years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.
