Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. seeks a Commissioning Project Manager in Washington, DC to guide clients toward energy-efficient building solutions and sustainable outcomes.

You will lead projects hands-on, manage scope and budgets, mentor engineers, and ensure commissioning from concept through occupancy, while building long-term client partnerships in healthcare, science & technology, and higher education markets.

Responsibilities

As a Commissioning Project Managerin our Washington, D.C. office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions and create a more sustainable future for all.

Here’s why we need you:

In this role, you will lead rewarding projects with a hands-on approach, develop client relationships, deliver projects according to client needs and budget, lead concept development of building systems, and guide a team of engineers from project conception though occupancy. Within this position, you will also participate in project interviews, providing high-level client service, establishing long-term partnerships, keeping abreast of market trends, and ensuring resolution of all technical and service issues.

Expertise of our most successful Project Manager:

• 10+ years in consulting environment designing building systems or leading design projects across core design disciplines.
• Proven ability to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team through planning, design and construction for projects of all sizes.
• BS in Engineering or Architecture from an ABET accredited program.
• Recent experience in the Healthcare, Science & Technology, Higher Education, or similar market sectors performing project management for large and/or complex projects.
• Ability to travel to client sites where project development opportunities exist (depends on assignment).
• Professional registration is a plus.
