Job summary

A.L. Merryman seeks a Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning and turnover of critical systems on a large-scale data center project. You will drive testing, validation, and client acceptance from construction completion through final turnover.

You will oversee Levels 1–5 commissioning across electrical, mechanical, controls, and life-safety, manage schedules, coordinate diverse teams, and resolve issues rapidly to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven commissioning leadership on large-scale data center, mission-critical, semiconductor, healthcare, or complex industrial projects, with strong electrical and/or mechanical systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver commissioning milestones on schedule and ready for client turnover.
• Lead and coordinate Levels 1–5 commissioning across electrical, mechanical, controls, and life-safety systems.
• Build and maintain the commissioning schedule, identifying constraints before they impact critical milestones.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, commissioning agents, engineers, and client teams through testing and turnover.
• Drive rapid resolution of deficiencies, punch-list items, and failed tests.
• Ensure equipment and systems are fully installed, documented, tested, and operational before advancing to the next commissioning stage.
• Maintain accurate commissioning documentation, test records, issue logs, and turnover packages.
• Lead commissioning activities with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and zero surprises.

The Commissioning Manager owns the successful commissioning and turnover of critical systems on a large-scale data center project. This role drives the project from construction completion through testing, integrated systems validation, and final client acceptance.
