This is a critical leadership position supporting the delivery of complex mission‑critical facilities and offers the opportunity to join a growing organization with a strong reputation in the data center construction sector.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the entire commissioning lifecycle, from preconstruction planning through integrated systems testing and final owner acceptance. Working alongside project leadership, trade partners, clients, and third‑party commissioning teams, you will ensure the successful delivery of highly reliable, high‑performance critical infrastructure systems.

This opportunity is ideal for a commissioning professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys leading complex technical programs, and wants to play a key role in the continued growth of a company delivering some of the most advanced data center projects in North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage full L1–L5 commissioning programs for hyperscale and mission‑critical data center projects.
  • Develop commissioning plans, schedules, level‑gate processes, and testing strategies across all commissioning phases.
  • Establish and enforce level‑entry and level‑exit criteria to ensure systems meet readiness requirements before progressing.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and third‑party commissioning authorities.
  • Oversee commissioning activities involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and specialty systems.
  • Drive L3 functional testing, L4 integrated systems testing (IST), and L5 full facility acceptance testing.
  • Identify commissioning risks, implement recovery plans, and protect critical project milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, redundancy requirements, owner specifications, and industry best practices.
  • Lead client‑facing commissioning meetings, technical reviews, readiness assessments, and status reporting.
  • Support preconstruction and design review efforts to optimize commissioning strategies and system sequencing.
  • Manage commissioning documentation, deficiency tracking, issue resolution, owner training, and project turnover activities.
  • Promote continuous improvement through commissioning innovation, digital tools, and standardized best practices.
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Preferred Background
