Job summary

SkyIO, Inc. seeks a seasoned commissioning leader to guide startup teams in semiconductor facilities. You will mentor engineers, oversee commissioning and turnover packages, and drive projects from greenfield construction to full operating status.

The role requires extensive experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA/DCS systems, Siemens PCS 7, WinCC, TIA Portal, and AVEVA, plus strong communication with stakeholders. Travel and on-site work are expected as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and develop high-performing startup teams.
  • 5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary commissioning or startup teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in semiconductor manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, utility systems, or comparable advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with greenfield construction, facility expansion, system turnover, and factory startup.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, control narratives, loop drawings, network drawings, and equipment documentation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and common project documentation tools.
  • Ability to travel or work on site as required by project needs.
  • 10+ years of industrial commissioning, startup, controls, construction, or operations experience.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor owners, engineering firms, construction managers, or tool and equipment vendors.
  • Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, building management, and facility monitoring systems.
  • Experience with Siemens PCS 7, WinCC, TIA Portal, AVEVA or comparable automation platforms.
  • Experience with cleanroom support systems, process utilities, electrical distribution, HVAC, ultra-pure water, waste treatment, chemical distribution, and life-safety interfaces.
  • Experience developing commissioning plans, test procedures, punch lists, turnover packages, and operational readiness documentation.
  • Commissioning, ISA, PMP, OSHA, or other relevant professional certification.

Responsibilities

  • Lead startup and commissioning activities for semiconductor facilities and cleanrooms.
  • Coordinate with owners, engineering firms, contractors, and vendors to drive project milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements relevant to industrial commissioning.
