Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks an experienced commissioning engineer to perform hands-on testing, QA/QC, and lead projects across client sites. The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 7+ years of experience, and willingness to travel nationwide for extended periods.

You will mentor staff, coordinate invoicing with accounting, and contribute to proposals and reports. Familiarity with SKM Power System Software is a plus.

Qualifications

Job description

  • National travel needed as necessary to complete Commissioning & Testing activities at client sites with reimbursement of expenses for travel/ lodging/car rental/meals.
Requirements
  • Mid-level commissioning engineer (7+ years of experience)
  • BS in Electrical Engineering (or similar qualification-required)
  • Military background in electrical system’s operation and repair a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel across the U.S. for extended periods of time required to support project construction schedules and work various hours (days, night and weekends)
  • Thermography Scanning Certification a plus
  • Must have proficient technical writing skills (proposals, test scripts and reports)
  • EIT/PE/CPMP a plus
  • SKM Power System Software experience a plus (i.e. Short Circuit Studies)
  • Hardworking and well-motivated engineer with the desire to learn and solve problems
  • Ability to work in office and client sites (new construction and existing facilities)
  • Hold driver’s license
  • Background check & drug screening may be required by client for onsite projects
