BQE Water Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to join our growth-focused team.

You will develop startup SOPs, oversee on-site commissioning, and lead inspection and testing of plant equipment while maintaining safety records and budget control. Based in Indiana with periodic remote site work worldwide, you will train operators, manage design deliverables, and coordinate across disciplines to ensure project success.

Formación

• 5–10 years in process plant design engineering, commissioning, or operations in water treatment, mineral processing, or chemical industries.
• Degree in engineering or related field; preferred disciplines include chemical, hydrometallurgy, mineral processing, materials, or mechanical.
• Solid understanding of aqueous inorganic chemistry and ability to read process specifications, PFDs, P&IDs, gas and instrument lists.
• Strong safety knowledge with experience implementing EHS procedures and on-site hazard assessments.
• Strong communication, ownership, and relationship-building skills; highly organized with cost and schedule management.
• Registration as P.Eng. (Canada) or P.E. (US) preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop SOPs and site-specific execution plans for startup and commissioning activities.
• Oversee on-site commissioning, ensure EHS compliance, and maintain quality records.
• Lead inspections, testing, and operation of equipment and plant processes.
• Complete construction walkdowns to verify readiness for commissioning.
• Train operators via demonstrations, classroom instruction, and written instructions.
• Manage schedule and budget for projects and commissioning activities.
• Produce and edit technical documentation such as memos, papers, and design reports.
• Plan and monitor progress of design work and deliverables.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary resources and communicate with stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews and provide field-based feedback.
• Periodically support engineering design and operations groups.
