Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Commissioning Agent to lead the testing and commissioning of mission critical systems from remote locations across the United States. The role requires hands-on design reviews, development of startup and commissioning policies, and QA/QC of equipment installations.

Candidates should have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to travel frequently to client sites.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in electrical power distribution or mechanical systems
• AA degree or military training or equivalent work experience
• Experience diagnosing construction/operational problems
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel
• Willingness to travel up to 75%

Responsibilities

• Perform design reviews of systems
• Develop and write startup and commissioning policies
• QA/QC of equipment installation
• Conduct construction observations and write test plans
• Execute tests for electrical and mechanical systems
• Train plant operations and maintenance personnel
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for testing
• Review data and prepare technical reports
• Maintain communication with clients and project team
• Support small to mid-size projects to meet client expectations
