Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a Commissioning Analyst in Ludington, MI to support commissioning of instrument, controls, and process systems. The role requires deep experience with DCS/PLC/SCADA, calibration, and testing of I&C systems, plus knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70E and OSHA standards.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical understanding, can work safely in teams, and will oversee planning, testing, and documentation for multiple projects over a 9-month contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a technical field with 4+ years reading electrical schematics and P&ID's.
• Experience with instrument/electrical components and mechanical testing.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA 10/30, NERC, and MPSC Gas Code.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing and commissioning planning, scheduling, and quality control on projects.
• Develop design validation and project turnover packages for mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Coordinate startup activities with operations, maintenance, and vendors; ensure safe work practices.
• Read and update electrical/mechanical prints and reflect As-Built conditions.
• Supervise/mentor non-exempt staff and contractors during commissioning.
