Job summary

Superior is hiring a Commissioning Engineer for on-site work at Conesville, Ohio. The role focuses on commissioning planning, energization readiness, MOP development, and LOTO coordination to ensure safe startup and system integration.

You will review procedures, plan electromagnetic tests, and interface with owners and project teams to address technical questions and resolve issues as part of the commissioning phase.

Qualifications

• Experience in design, construction and installation of electrical building systems.
• Experience in quality control, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of medium and low voltage power distribution systems.
• Familiar with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E and related codes and standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (bonus).

Position: Commissioning Engineer

Reports to: Commissioning Engineering Manager

Location: Conesville, Ohio

Salary Range: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour (Eligible for Overtime)

Superior is looking for a Commissioning Engineer who will support the Field and Project Operations teams through commissioning planning and execution. The Commissioning Engineer focuses on developing and reviewing methods of procedure (MOPs), supporting lockout/tagout (LOTO) planning, and ensuring systems are prepared for safe and efficient energization. The role is based on a job site in Conesville, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop energization and electrical performance methods and procedures (MOPs)
• Support LOTO planning and energized work coordination

Your Expertise

• Required: You have experience in the design, construction, and installation of electrical building systems

• Required: You have strong technical understanding of medium and low voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and redundant power systems
• Required: You have experience with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E and other applicable codes and standards
