We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer with strong mechanical expertise and extensive experience in the data center market to effectively execute project assignments. The ideal candidate will have experience in vertical markets such as hospitals, large and complex facilities, and mission-critical facilities, including data centers, telecommunications, or disaster recovery sites.

Responsibilities

1. Participate in daily commissioning activity meetings, covering services like equipment pre-start-up procedures and the development of SOPs and MOPs.
2. Prepare commissioning test procedures and reports.
3. Develop and maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and other tools to track projects.
4. Write comprehensive reports with recommendations for optimizing building operations, including checklists, deficiencies, and manuals.
5. Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, and equipment submittals relevant to commissioning.
6. Develop and administer functional tests for systems such as mechanical chilled water plants, boilers, chillers, CRAC units, and fire protection systems.
7. Conduct integrated system and BMS testing, compiling all results.

Essential Skills

1. Minimum 10 years of experience in the Electrical Mission Critical Field.
2. Experience in construction and commissioning within hospitals, large/complex, and mission-critical facilities.
3. OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.
4. Experience reviewing design criteria, specifications, and documentation related to commissioning.
5. Ability to develop and administer functional tests for various mechanical systems.
6. Good communication skills for interfacing with clients, contractors, vendors, and owners' agents.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or Associate's Degree is a plus.
2. Certification with a tech company is desirable, typically taking about a year.
3. Experience with IEEE procedures and protocols is a plus.
4. Basic knowledge of system design.
5. Commissioning certification or PE is preferred.

Work Environment

This role involves extensive travel, 60-65% of the time, sometimes for 2-3 weeks onsite. The company offers a career-oriented culture with growth opportunities, a strong project backlog, and stability.
