Job summary

Design Hire is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead commissioning from initial construction through final turnover for mission-critical facilities. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, develop testing plans, and ensure systems perform to spec.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, project leadership, and the ability to manage complex schedules and milestones in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years leading commissioning in mission-critical facilities such as datacenters or critical infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple priorities in fast-paced construction environments.
• Understanding of construction sequencing, equipment startup, and turnover processes.
• Experience identifying issues, coordinating corrective actions, and resolving deficiencies.
• Strong communication with clients, subs, engineers, vendors, and leadership.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage milestones and maintain commissioning records for closeout.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities for mission-critical facilities, coordinating Level 1–5 testing.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans, tests, and procedures with stakeholders.
• Oversee integration and testing of MEP, building management, power, access control, and CCTV systems.
• Manage schedules, cost forecasts, progress tracking, and schedule analysis.
• Review drawings and specs to ensure compliance with NETA and project requirements.

Design Hire is seeking an experienced Construction ProjectManager who can lead complex commissioning activities and support successfulproject delivery. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate withmultidisciplinary engineering and construction teams to ensure criticalinfrastructure systems perform reliably, safely, and according to projectrequirements. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, projectleadership, and the ability to coordinate commissioning from initialconstruction through final turnover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities formission-critical facilities, coordinating Level 1 through Level 5commissioning to verify system readiness, operational performance, andproject acceptance.
  
• Develop and execute commissioning plans,functional test scripts, and procedures while coordinating withcontractors, vendors, engineers, and facility stakeholders.
  
• Oversee the integration and testing ofmechanical, electrical, plumbing, building management, electrical powermanagement, access control, and CCTV systems.
  
• Manage project schedules, cost forecasts,progress tracking, and schedule analysis using Microsoft Project orPrimavera P6 to support timely and cost-effective project completion.
  
• Review construction drawings, technicalspecifications, and system schematics while ensuring commissioningactivities align with applicable NETA guidelines, industry standards, andproject requirements.

• At least 5 years of experience leadingcommissioning activities within mission-critical facilities, such as datacenters or other critical infrastructure environments.
  
• Demonstrated ability to coordinatemultidisciplinary teams and manage multiple project priorities infast-paced construction environments.
  
• Strong understanding of constructionsequencing, equipment startup, functional performance testing, and systemturnover processes.
  
• Experience identifying technical issues,coordinating corrective actions, and resolving commissioning deficiencies.
  
• Ability to communicate effectively withclients, subcontractors, engineering teams, equipment vendors, and projectleadership.
  
• Strong organizational, analytical,documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to manage project milestones,maintain accurate commissioning records, and support successful projects closeout.
