Job summary

Megawatt Construction, Inc. seeks an entry-level Commissioning Coordinator to support field readiness and testing on tenant colocation data hall fit-out projects.

You will assist with equipment walks, documentation, and startup testing while learning commissioning processes in mission-critical environments. Work closely with Commissioning Engineers and Managers, gaining hands-on experience, tracking deficiencies, and coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or in progress in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 0–2 years of construction or MEP experience (internships or co-op count).
• Basic understanding of construction environments or mechanical/electrical systems is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in a fast-paced field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment walks and system readiness verification to support commissioning milestones.
• Support documentation gathering, organization, and checklist completion for commissioning deliverables.
• Assist with startup witnessing, functional testing, and general field support activities.
• Track and help manage deficiencies, including field follow-up and status updates.
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to support commissioning activities.
• Attend commissioning and coordination meetings, capturing notes and tracking action items.
• Learn system operations, testing logic, and overall commissioning workflows in a mission-critical environment.
• Support multiple projects as needed, depending on workload and project demands.
• Follow company commissioning standards, processes, and safety requirements.

The Commissioning Coordinator provides field and technical support to commissioning efforts across tenant colocation data hall fit-out projects at Megawatt Construction. This entry-level role focuses on supporting system readiness, documentation, and testing activities while developing a foundational understanding of commissioning processes in mission-critical environments. The Commissioning Coordinator works closely with Commissioning Engineers and Managers to gain hands-on experience and build the skills necessary for career progression within the commissioning team.

• 0-2 years of experience in construction, MEP systems, or a related field (internships or co-op experience a plus).
• Basic understanding of construction environments or mechanical/electrical systems is a plus but not required.
