Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced commissioning leader to oversee field commissioning across MEP systems on hyperscale data center projects. You will own the end-to-end commissioning process, including startup sequencing for chillers, pumps, and BMS integration, and guide the program through owner acceptance.

You will manage six-week look-ahead scheduling, lead critical client meetings, and travel to multiple project sites (50% travel).

Qualifications

• You've owned large-scale commissioning programs from mobilization through owner acceptance as a superintendent on hyperscale data centres at 100MW+.
• Deep mechanical commissioning expertise on chillers, dry coolers, FCUs, pumps, cooling towers, and HVAC in redundant live environments, plus electrical and controls leadership to guide integrated MEP commissioning.
• Experience with owner's-rep or client-side roles, anticipating owner expectations and interpreting acceptance criteria before gaps hit the schedule.
• Ability to run high-stakes client meetings with confidence and drive accountability across on-site teams.
• Knowledge of six-week look-ahead scheduling, visual planning tools (takt boards, zone maps, pull planning), and energized-work safety (OSHA) in mission-critical environments.
• Bonus: Lean planning practices; data center delivery standards; scheduling software fluency.

• Own the six-week look-ahead and constraint log, surfacing and resolving upstream constraints before they hit the schedule.
• Run site meetings with clients, consultants, and trades, presenting commissioning status, risk, and recovery plans.
• Travel at least 50% to project sites.
