Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) seeks a Commissioning Agent for Data Center projects in Washington, DC. You will lead commissioning activities to ensure energy-efficient, reliable mission-critical systems and support owners, contractors, and engineers.
You'll apply Level 1–5 commissioning processes, conduct field tests, review design and specifications, and travel ~75% to sites. A BS in engineering and 5+ years of data center experience are required; OSHA certification is encouraged.

As a Commissioning Agent - Data Center in our Washington, DC office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all. You will help us empower our data center clients to trust in the reliability of their mission critical systems to preserve data, protect assets, and save lives. You'll also lead efforts to achieve energy-efficient building solutions and help operators improve their ability to safely and effectively manage the data center. You will work in a multi-disciplined and cross-trained team of commissioning professionals in a team-oriented atmosphere. In this role, you will be responsible for resolving commissioning challenges and completing tasks assigned, including developing and implementing the Level 1 - 5 commissioning process delivery set forth in Owner's Project Requirements (OPR), Basis of Design (BOD), plans and specifications. You will oversee and execute the quality observation and testing in the field.
