Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of professional park ranger experience in park operations and maintenance OR one year as a Park Ranger I (Commissioned) in Nevada State service.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may apply.
• NV POST certification or ability to complete NV POST Category 1 Peace Officer Academy; academy cost covered by agency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise day-to-day park operations and maintenance.
• Train, supervise and evaluate seasonal staff; manage fees and visitor centers.
• Enforce laws and park policies; respond to emergencies and conduct law enforcement duties.
• Develop and implement resource management plans and special events.
