Position: Commissary Shift Manager

Summary:

The Commissary Shift Manager typically supports the Commissary Manager or Commissary Chef in routine operations, responsible for supervising non-management associates, assigning work, focusing on commissary operations, coaching, and development. This is a non-exempt position, reporting to the Commissary Manager or Chef, depending on local requirements.

Essential Functions:

  1. Supervises daily activities of non-management associates
  2. Assigns work responsibilities and ensures shift coverage
  3. Conducts on-the-job training and ensures associates receive basic skills training
  4. Resolves routine questions and refers complex issues to higher levels
  5. Provides recommendations for hiring, firing, advancement, or other status changes of associates

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

  1. Up to 2 years of related experience in food and beverage or food production operations, or management experience
  2. Team management, delegation, issue resolution skills, and ability to multi-task
  3. Knowledge of HMSHost policies, products, services, quality, equipment, and operations standards
  4. Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, policies, and communicate effectively
