Summary:

The Commissary Shift Manager supports the Commissary Manager or Chef in daily operations, supervising non-management staff, assigning work, coaching, and developing associates. This non-exempt role reports to the Commissary Manager or Chef, depending on local requirements.

Essential Functions:
  • Supervises daily activities of associates
  • Assigns work responsibilities and ensures shift coverage
  • Coordinates on-the-job training and basic skills development
  • Resolves routine issues and escalates complex problems
  • Provides recommendations regarding hiring, firing, and promotions
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
  • Up to 2 years of experience in food and beverage management or related fields
  • Team management, delegation, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of HMSHost policies, product standards, and operations
  • Ability to read, understand instructions, and communicate effectively
