Job summary

Brightline is seeking a Commissary Attendant to support our onboard operations in Orlando. You will receive and store inventory, prepare service carts, and deliver items to the platform for loading on the train.

You will maintain temperature logs, ensure proper food handling, inspect supplies and equipment, and keep work areas clean and compliant with health standards. This role requires 6 months+ stockroom experience and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience in stockroom operations in retail, F&B, or hospitality settings.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Prepare service carts with necessary products for onboard service; maintain a safe, sanitary work area.
• Receive, document, and store deliveries with proper food handling, rotation, and labeling.
• Maintain temperature logs and ensure equipment is working; report issues promptly.
• Document inventory fulfillment details from F&B leadership; accuracy in recording.
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for efficiency and compliance.
• Apply safe food handling practices at all times to meet standards.
• Clean service and work areas per health and hygiene standards.
• Communicate with teammates for timely transfer of information.

Job description

Your Purpose

As a Commissary Attendant, an essential member of the Brightline Onboard Operations team, you will work behind the scenes to receive and store inventory, prepare food orders, and deliver all items to the platform for loading on the train. Your professionalism and attention to detail will significantly and directly affect our guests' onboard experience.

Your Role:

• Prepare service carts with the necessary products for onboard service. Maintain work area safe and sanitary, ensuring the highest hygiene standards.
• Receive, document, and store deliveries, ensuring proper food handling, rotation, and labeling.
• Maintain the necessary temperature logs and check all equipment is in working order, reporting any issues promptly.
• Receive fulfillment details from the F&B leadership team and accurately document inventory.
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and compliance with standards, requests, and maintenance or repairs in a timely manner.
• Apply safe food handling practices at all times to ensure standards are met.
• Clean service and work areas adhering to Company health and hygiene standards.
• Communicate with teammates for the timely and detailed transference of information.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 6 months or more of experience in stockroom operations in retail, F&B, or hospitality settings.
• Minimum of 18 years old.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of the prevention of foodborne illnesses and health regulations.
• You are safety-focused on your day-to-day life; ever-vigilant to inform and help others to stay safe in their environment.
• Must be able and willing to work any shift or on weekends and holidays based on operational needs as necessary.
• Ability to push and pull the service cart through aisles and doors to stock the trains, while standing and walking for long periods of time. You must be able to move and lift heavy objects in a variety of directions.
• Must possess the ability to deal effectively with guests, management, teammates, and outside contacts while working under pressure.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to be adaptable to a variety of situations.

Work Environment:

Works in a clean, air-conditioned office space, free of noise, dust, and humidity.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear. Occasional lifting of light items required. No specific vision requirements.
