Job summary

Momofuku is seeking a Commis to join the BOH team in creating daily mise en place and supporting the production of services. The role focuses on learning toward a line cook, maintaining cleanliness, and executing select services with a passion for consistency and deliciousness.

• General knife handling, food safety & sanitation knowledge.

• Experience assisting in receiving goods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Receive and properly store/organize food and restaurant supply deliveries.
• Assist with family meal production.
• Support line level culinary team during service as needed.
• Hone existing skills while learning new techniques and building your skill set.
• Assist with cleaning, sanitation, organization and maintenance of kitchen and culinary equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and proper use of all kitchen equipment, including knife skills.
• Maintain open and effective communication with BOH and FOH teams.
• Support other team members and foster a positive work environment.
