Job description

Company:

David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. Our first product is a protein bar. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.

This is a rare opportunity to join a breakout food brand at a pivotal stage of growth. Led by CEO Peter Rahal, Former CEO of RXBAR, David is working to become the leading consumer food brand focused on high-protein foods in North America and beyond.

Roles & Responsibilities:

We are looking for Commercialization Senior Analysts to Senior Associates to drive the operational launch of new products at David. This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of R&D, Procurement, Operations, and Manufacturing. You will manage new product launches, support the technical transfer of formulations from R&D to external partners, help onboard new suppliers, and build systems that improve communication and execution across the value chain.

You will ensure that every new product - from early formulation to first production - is executed with clarity, accuracy, and operational discipline.

Project Management & Product Launches

  • Lead end-to-end commercialization for new products, line extensions, and manufacturing changes.

  • Build and manage project timelines, drive cross-functional alignment, and ensure on-time execution from development handoff through customer delivery.

  • Evaluate and support external manufacturing partners to ensure readiness for scale-up and launch.

  • Identify cross-functional risks and drive mitigation plans to support successful execution.

Technical Transfer from R&D

  • Serve as the operational bridge between R&D and external partners to translate product requirements into scalable manufacturing processes.

  • Support bench-to-pilot and pilot-to-production transitions by ensuring materials, equipment needs, and process requirements are clearly defined and validated.

  • Capture learnings from trials and early production runs to improve consistency and manufacturability.

  • Provide structured feedback to R&D on process performance, ingredient behavior, and scalability considerations.

Supplier Outreach & Onboarding

  • Partner with Procurement and other cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and onboard ingredient and packaging suppliers.

  • Coordinate samples, testing, specification reviews, and required documentation for supplier approval.

  • Support supplier qualification and performance validation during trials and early production.

Systems & Process Improvements

  • Build and improve internal tools and documentation that support disciplined, repeatable commercialization.

  • Identify process gaps across R&D, operations, and external partners and propose scalable improvements.

  • Establish documentation standards for formulations, processes, and commercial readiness.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to increase reliability, speed, and execution quality.

Operational Execution Support

  • Support supply chain planning for materials and packaging needed for new launches.

  • Coordinate with external partners to ensure production readiness and alignment on requirements.

  • Assist with feasibility assessments and issue resolution during trials, scale-up, and production.

Required

  • Experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Commercialization, R&D, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or another highly analytical, execution-oriented role, ideally with exposure to food, CPG, manufacturing, or complex cross-functional operations.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to organize complex, multi-step workflows with clarity, precision, and urgency.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex challenges, identify priorities, and drive execution.

  • Structured communicator with the ability to translate technical or complex information into clear, actionable operational steps.

  • A detail-oriented mindset with discipline in documentation, follow-through, and systems building.

  • Comfort navigating ambiguity in early-stage environments and resolving problems through resourcefulness, ownership, and persistence.

  • Humility, intellectual curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative approach to cross-functional work.

  • A desire to help build an early-stage CPG company and meaningfully contribute to product success across the value chain.

Preferred

  • Experience working in food, CPG, manufacturing, or other operationally complex industries.

  • Experience working with co-manufacturers or food manufacturing partners.

  • Exposure to commercialization, technical transfer, or supplier management.

  • Familiarity with BOM management, specification systems, or commercialization workflows.

  • Background in investment banking, management consulting, or other rigorous analytical environments involving complex project execution.

  • Degree or background in Supply Chain, Operations, Food Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related fields.

  • This is a full-time role.

  • Salary: $110k-180k per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets
