Job summary

Axos Bank in San Diego, CA is seeking a Commercial Lending Underwriter to support originations by analyzing credits, reviewing collateral across accounts, and coordinating due diligence. 2–4 years of underwriting/monitoring experience is preferred; role includes risk rating recommendations, process improvements, and data-driven actions to optimize loan decisions.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus and Discretionary Restricted Stock Units.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years experience in monitoring or underwriting and structuring commercial lending transactions.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic credit analysis – may include analyzing operating statements, recommending risk ratings
• Analyzes Commercial Lending, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Equipment, and Loan and Lease Receivables collateral across an array of collateral types
• Making process improvement and action recommendations researched and supported by data and key metrics
• Supports administrative aspects of the originations process including document collection, organization, and tracking of due diligence requirements

Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 25%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 25%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.
