Job summary
Jensen Landscape is seeking a skilled technician to manage pest and disease prevention and treatment on commercial landscapes in Livermore, California. The role focuses on safe chemical handling, accurate product calculations, and precise application using approved equipment.
The ideal candidate has pesticide experience and state licenses, a valid driver license, and strong customer service skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; Excel/Word/Outlook familiarity is helpful.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial pesticide operator experience
- Pesticide license issued by the state where employed
- Valid driver license issued by the state where employed
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time
- Strong customer service and urgency orientation
- Read, write and comprehend English
- Organizational skills and flexibility
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
Responsibilities
- Perform fertilization, herbicide and pest management treatments on turf using approved spray equipment
- Calculate product and carrier quantities
- Properly mix and apply plant protection and/or fertilizer products using various equipment
- Safe handling and use of chemicals
- Complete required paperwork
