Job summary

ADM is offering a commercial trainee opportunity to become an integral part of the Milling & Baking Solutions business. The role will help manage all commercial activities at the Carthage, MO mill, with focus on scheduling, logistics, and local grain procurement.

The trainee will interact with operations, quality, and customers, serving as a back up to managers, and may relocate across the U.S. as part of the program; base pay is competitive and overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in agriculture, business, finance, economics, or supply chain management.
• Relocation willingness to relocate across the U.S. as part of the program.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Understand Profit and Loss of Milling business.
• Learn to maximize profits through grain procurement and inventory management.
• Grain trading and procurement responsibilities.
• Execute bulk truck, rail and packaging lines.
• Manage and trade truck freight and arbitrage positions.
• Coordinate with customer service, operations, sales and quality to meet expectations.
• Develop Go To Market strategies for Mill and Free to Sell.
• Monitor inventories of flour, wheat, ingredients and by-products.
• Participate in month end reconciliation.
• PR/PO processing as needed.
• Be available off shifts and weekends to receive calls if needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Participate in daily operation reviews.
