Job summary

First American’s GO Title division is hiring a Commercial Title Examiner in Maryland. You will analyze public records, verify ownership, and identify title issues to ensure smooth, secure close of large real estate transactions.

You’ll work independently with underwriters and clients, supported by training and robust tools. The role requires at least 3 years of Maryland title experience, proficiency in MS Office and data platforms, and excellent communication in a fast-paced, paperless

Qualifications

• Three years of Maryland title searching, examining and writing commitments.
• Familiarity with legal and real estate terminology.
• Proficient with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat/Pro, Internet and data platforms.
• Strong analytical, independent problem solving and organization.
• Clear, professional communication with a customer service mindset.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

As a Commercial Title Examiner at First American, you’ll play a vital role by working independently and using your experience to ensure that large-scale real estate transactions close smoothly and securely. What You’ll Do

• Search, examine and connect data across counties and jurisdictions.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 3 years of directly related experience in title searching, examining, and writing commitments in the state of Maryland.
• Understand relevant legal and real estate terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat/Pro, Internet, property data platforms, and the ability to learn company systems.
• Excel at analyzing complex information and solving problems independently.
• Highly organized and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven, and paperless environment.
• Clear and professional communication with a customer service mindset.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.

Pay Range: $26.88 - $35.82 Hourly, Remote This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
