Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is hiring to mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across passenger cars, light trucks, large trucks, and industrial vehicles. You will diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers, including brakes, HVAC, electrical systems, and drivetrains.

Join us to conduct fleet inspections, perform PM checks, and respond to roadside service calls with a service truck when needed while maintaining TPMS and inventory.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Experience with heavy-duty or commercial tires preferred (not required).
• Ability to lift/move tires weighing between 30-250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work involving repetitive motion, forceful exertion, and working in awkward postures or under vibration.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across passenger cars, light trucks, large trucks, and industrial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers, including brakes, HVAC systems, electrical systems, drivetrains.
• Conduct fleet inspections and routine maintenance.
• Respond to roadside service calls using a service truck when needed.
• Use and maintain Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).
• Assist with inventory loading, unloading, and counts.
• Participate in ongoing training, follow safety protocols, and uphold company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
