Job summary

Colony Tire Corporation in Kinston, NC is seeking a full-time Commercial Service Technician to join our team. You will service commercial tires on customer vehicles at Colony Tire locations, customer sites, and roadside calls, prioritizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and safety consciousness in tire service.
• Ability to inspect tires and wheels before and after service in accordance with safety procedures.
• Capable of using hand and pneumatic tools to mount/dismount tires and balance wheels.
• Follows written work orders and documents service activities accurately.
• Drives safely and maintains valid license for required vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a valid driver’s license for the vehicles operated and meet CDL/qualification requirements.
• Inspect tires and wheels before and after service per safety procedures.
• Identify repairable tire conditions and perform approved repairs.
• Review work orders and communicate details with supervisors and team.
• Document all work performed in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Safely maneuver wheels and mount/dismount tires on various rims.
• Inflate tires to correct size, ply, and load specifications.
