Job summary

Daniels Tire Service is seeking a Commercial Tire & Fleet Service Technician to perform truck tire service for a range of tires from light to heavy duty. You will remove, repair, mount, and switch tires, complete detailed work orders, and communicate with dispatch and customers on-site.

Safety, punctuality, and adherence to PPE are required daily. Responsibilities include maintaining the service vehicle, reporting issues, and ensuring accurate tire dispositions and DOT IDs are recorded.

Responsibilities

• Perform truck tire service on highway and OTR equipment from Light Truck tires to Commercial Truck tires.
• Remove, repair, mount, switch tires on a variety of wheel types.
• Complete work orders with details: vehicle, location, tire sizes, DOT ID, and time.
• Explain required work to customers and/or supervisor and complete jobs safely and efficiently.
• Apply safe driving practices and comply with PPE requirements.
• Report to work with reliable attendance and punctuality.

Commercial Tire & Fleet Service Technician

the Tire Technician will…

• Perform truck tire service on all types or highway and often OTR equipment from Light Truck tires to Commercial Truck tires to industrial and farm size tires.
• Remove, repair, mount, switch, tires on a variety of wheel types
• Complete work orders in detail - Including but not limited to work performed on customer vehicle, location where work was done, truck/unit #, tire sizes and DOT ID, disposition of all tires and time on the job, etc
• Be required to recognize and explain the reason for any work that is to be performed on the vehicle to their customer and/or supervisor complete the job in an efficient and safe manner
• Apply safe driving practices on a daily basis
• Report to work without excessive tardiness or absences
• Work with all safety practices and personal protective equipment as required

Other responsibilities:

• Maintain company service vehicle in good working order, report mechanical problems immediately
• Submit service truck daily maintenance inspections daily
• Identify all tires brought in from service calls and report the disposition/conditions of those tires to dispatch office.
• Correctly complete and submit Waste Tire Manifests in detail
• Communicate with dispatch and clients when questions/issues arise on site
