Job Description

As a Commercial Territory Manager, you will be accountable for managing profitable new Commercial OE Coatings business for the Automotive Refinish group. You will work in partnership with multiple direct accounts, Territory Managers, architectural stores, and specialized distributors to achieve growth goals. Accountability management and overall oversight will be provided by the refinish commercial regional sales manager. You will report to the Commercial Regional Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain a strategic, value-selling approach and foster long-term relationships with sales channel partners and internal teams.
  2. Capture all available business through business development and account maintenance.
  3. Identify new business opportunities in Commercial OE Coatings and Light Industrial Coatings.
  4. Collaborate with assigned Territory Managers and distributors to enhance sales growth.
  5. Establish communication and engagement with prospects and existing accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  6. Conduct regular account reviews to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  7. Develop and implement sales strategies to surpass growth objectives.
  8. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
  9. Leverage available direct and distribution channel partners to meet sales targets.
  10. Coordinate with internal teams to align on sales plans and customer needs.
  11. This role is fully remote, with travel up to 50% to meet clients, attend industry events, and conduct market research.
  12. Dedicate 100% of your time to industrial sales growth and account management.
  13. Manage customer relationships, engaging them in value-added activities.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  2. Experience in sales within the coatings or automotive industry.
  3. Strong understanding of commercial and industrial sales processes.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
