Job summary

Engelberth Construction in Colchester, VT is seeking an experienced Taper/Painter to deliver high-quality finished surfaces on commercial projects. You will tape, mud, sand, prime, and paint, while maintaining safety, quality, and a clean work area.

The role offers a quarterly bonus, great benefits, and opportunities for growth. Responsibilities include drywall prep, finishing surfaces, touch-ups, and assisting with other construction tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous professional painting and/or drywall finishing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of taping, mudding, sanding, surface preparation, and painting techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, hand tools, and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license to travel to various commercial construction project locations.

Responsibilities

• Taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing drywall.
• Preparing walls, ceilings, and other surfaces for painting.
• Applying primer, paint, and other finishes.
• Performing touch-ups and finish work.
• Identifying and correcting surface imperfections.
• Misc. other construction tasks when needed.
• Protecting adjacent surfaces and maintaining a clean work area.
• Working safely and efficiently alongside other trades.
• Maintaining a high standard of quality and craftsmanship.
