Job summary

Windows and Doors By Brownell in Vermont seeks an experienced painter/stainer to prepare surfaces, apply paints and finishes, and perform minor cosmetic repairs on high-end residential and commercial projects. You will handle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, priming, masking, and pre-spray prep, and may disassemble/reassemble doors and windows as needed.

Team collaboration and careful, organized work are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational painting training preferred.
• At least 3 years experience as a Painter or Stainer or similar.
• Ability to work on a team and learn new skills.
• Keep paint shop and tools neat, clean and organized.
• Willing to train in brushes, spray guns, and finishing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Effectively apply paints, stains, and finishes using brushes; caulking, surface coatings and minor repairs.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, priming; mask and pre-spray prep.
• Disassemble and reassemble doors/windows as needed.
