Purpose
The Commercial Support Specialist role is responsible for serving as the operational and commercial liaison for the Business Unit(s) in support of the company's Commercial growth initiatives.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
- Oversee Commercial employee onboarding process, systems setup, and training plan.
- Provide training on RavApps related to commercial for new hire onboarding, best practices, commercial sales meetings, and new feature or cloud enhancements.
- Provide support, training, and continuous improvement ideation for CRM, Tableau, SARA and any future implementations.
- Enhance work instructions and develop comprehensive documentation to support commercial users across all tools and resources managed by the Commercial Support Team, including Budget Tools, CRM, SARA, MHC Materials, Tableau, and any future implementations.
- Serve as gatekeeper/focal for commercial tools including, Budget Tools, CRM, SARA, MHC Materials, Tableau, and any future implementations for enhancement requests including gathering requirements and validating system enhancements as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining Account Assignments and Commissions Rules for new accounts and account re-assignments in SARA.
- Request setup of Customer Accounts/Ship-To’s in MDM system.
- Administer sales, sourcing, and business development teams budget/goal process.
- Monitor CRM usage and qualitative metrics to report trends.
- Coordinate lead management process, working in conjunction with Office Services, Marketing, and Business Development teams.
- Manage Market Segmentation process to appropriately code confirmed sales.
- Perform analysis of key performance metrics and provide summarized reports to Business Unit management, including sales volume and margin.
- Work collaboratively to provide key business reporting.
- Create exception reporting based on company policies and controls.
- Create metrics to evaluate sales efficiency and productivity.
- Document requirements and collaborate with Commercial, Operations, and Finance teams for process and tool optimization to support business focused initiatives.
- Build project and execution plans to address key commercial initiatives to drive automation or process improvements.
- Map current and future tool or process states to support key business initiatives.

- Extreme attention to detail and ability to maintain data quality and integrity.
- Working understanding of profitability and advanced data analytics.
- Proficiency in Tableau, MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with MHC and Ravago business processes.
- Ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines in a changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions and see those through to implementation.
- Experience in process improvement design and change management strategies.
- Experience in data models and reporting packages.
- Experience gathering user requirements and implementing custom solutions/reports to meet those requirements.
- Ability to travel occasionally for work.
Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2-5 years related experience.
- Licenses / Certifications: Valid driver’s license – required.
- Language: Proficiency in English required.
Work Environment / Conditions
- Must be adaptable to work in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
- This is a hybrid role based out of Northbrook, IL.
Physical Requirements / Demands
