Signs By G is hiring a Junior Installer in Houston, TX to take on complete sign installations independently. This field role puts you outdoors in varying weather, reading drawings, and wiring illuminated sign systems.

You will install channel letters, cabinets, monuments, and manage substrate anchoring. You’ll review installation drawings, coordinate with property managers and GCs, and help train entry‑level installers.

Qualifications

• Experience installing commercial signage or related trades.
• Outdoor work in all weather; not an office role.
• Ability to read and interpret installation drawings.
• OSHA 10 or 30 is a strong plus.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Install illuminated sign systems outdoors at job sites.
• Make electrical connections to installed signs.
• Handle substrate anchoring and core drilling as needed.
• Work at height on ladders and lifts in various conditions.
• Review drawings and flag site conflicts prior to crew arrival.

Signs By G is a commercial signage company based in Houston, TX. We build and install signs for retail centers, franchises, developers, and construction partners across the country. We operate multiple crews and run jobs across the US.

About the Role

We're hiring a Junior Installer who can take on complete sign installations independently. This is a field job. You'll be outside in Houston heat, cold mornings, and everything in between, working on ladders, lifts, and rooftops for most of your shift. You know how to read a drawing, you measure before you drill, and you don't need someone watching over your shoulder to do quality work. This role handles illuminated sign systems, electrical connections, and substrate anchoring.

What You'll Do

• Install complete illuminated sign systems: channel letters, cabinet signs, monument signs, working outdoors at the job site for the full shift
• Make final electrical connections to installed sign systems
• Handle substrate anchoring: concrete anchors, core drilling, masonry and steel fastening
• Work at height on ladders and lifts in outdoor conditions
• Review installation drawings and flag site conflicts before the crew arrives
• Communicate professionally with property managers and GCs on site
• Help train and develop entry-level installers in the field

What We're Looking For

• Experience installing commercial signage or work in a closely related trade (electrical, construction, fabrication)
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. This is not a shop or office job
• Comfortable reading installation drawings, you look before you drill
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 a strong plus
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights, outdoors, for the full shift
• $25 to $28/hr (based on experience and certifications)
• Health insurance, PTO, performance reviews, and year-end bonus eligibility begin after 90 days of employment
• 6 federal holidays plus Christmas week paid shutdown (11 paid holidays total), available immediately
