Job summary

Smart Care is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician to join our Rhode Island team. You will service commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing and other specialty food service equipment, troubleshooting and repairing on-site.

You must have a high school diploma, at least 1 year of technical experience, a valid driver's license, and be willing to participate in on-call nights and weekend rotations; occasional travel may be required. CFESA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to be on emergency on-call rotation including nights and weekends.
• Occasional overnight travel as assigned.
• CFESA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen equipment on-site.
• Read diagrams and schematics to diagnose issues.
• Install ordered parts in a timely and professional manner.
• Produce accurate work orders, time reporting and receipts.
• Maintain a neat service vehicle and inventory.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and on-site support for parts.
