Job summary

Culligan is seeking individuals experienced in customer-focused roles to join as a Commercial Service Technician. A mechanical aptitude, dependability, organization, and strong communication are essential. The position offers a competitive wage, a commission plan, and generous benefits.

Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $90,000 per year, with a full benefits package. The role requires travel to customer locations, with some overnight stays, and a Tue–Sat schedule in the Kansas/Olathe area.

Qualifications

• 2 years in the service industry is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Appropriate, valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Willingness to drive for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics on commercial water treatment equipment and resolve issues.
• Provide scheduled maintenance on water treatment equipment.
• Take water samples and perform water testing.
• Identify additional services and present options to customers.
• Install and remove water treatment equipment and assemble piping.
• Travel to customer locations; some overnight travel required.
• Represent Culligan and communicate equipment status to customers.

Position Overview

Culligan is currently seeking individuals experienced in customer-focused positions to act as a Commercial Service Technician. Must have a mechanical aptitude and must be willing to learn on an ongoing basis. Must be dependable, organized, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Culligan offers competitive wages plus a commission plan and a generous benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of a Company vehicle in compliance with all state and federal DOT laws


• Abide by all company policies as contained in the company employee handbook while following safety procedures


• Perform complete diagnostics on commercial water treatment equipment, identify malfunctions, and resolve issues accordingly


• Provide scheduled maintenance on water treatment equipment


• Take water samples and perform water testing


• Identify additional services that may be required and present all options to the consumer


• Represent Culligan through direct interaction with customers. Communicate the status of equipment with customers and provide solutions


• Complete basic installation and removal of water treatment equipment


• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering


• Install pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves for water treatment equipment using hand or power tools


• Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to the required angle using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines


• Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures


• Travel to customer locations (some overnight travel required)


• This is a full-time, Tuesday through Saturday

Requirements

• 2 years in the service industry is preferred but not required


• High school diploma or equivalent


• Appropriate, valid driver’s license


• Qualified candidates must have the ability to lift up to 80 pounds


• Drive for extended periods (2-3 hours)


• Knowledge of the surrounding area where you would be working


• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written)


• Kneel/bend for extended periods of time
