Job summary

Culligan is seeking a Commercial Service Technician with a customer-focused approach. You will diagnose and service commercial water treatment equipment, operate company vehicles safely, and build strong relationships with customers while presenting options.

This full-time role requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, and a valid driver’s license; travel may be overnight. Culligan offers a competitive wage, commission plan, and an extensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2 years in the service industry is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Appropriate, valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Drive for extended periods (2-3 hours).
• Knowledge of the surrounding area where you would be working.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written).
• Kneel/bend for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Company vehicle in compliance with state and federal DOT laws.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Perform diagnostics on commercial water treatment equipment and resolve issues.
• Provide scheduled maintenance on water treatment equipment.
• Take water samples and perform water testing.
• Identify additional services and present options to customers.
• Represent Culligan through direct customer interaction and communicate equipment status and solutions.
• Complete installation and removal of water treatment equipment.
• Assemble and install pipe sections and fittings for water systems.
• Measure and cut pipe to required specifications using hand/power tools.
• Review blueprints and codes to determine work details.

Position Overview

Culligan is currently seeking individuals experienced in customer-focused positions to act as a Commercial Service Technician. Must have a mechanical aptitude and must be willing to learn on an ongoing basis. Must be dependable, organized, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Culligan offers competitive wages plus a commission plan and a generous benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of a Company vehicle in compliance with all state and federal DOT laws
• Abide by all company policies as contained in the company employee handbook while following safety procedures
• Perform complete diagnostics on commercial water treatment equipment, identify malfunctions, and resolve issues accordingly
• Provide scheduled maintenance on water treatment equipment
• Take water samples and perform water testing
• Identify additional services that may be required and present all options to the consumer
• Represent Culligan through direct interaction with customers. Communicate the status of equipment with customers and provide solutions
• Complete basic installation and removal of water treatment equipment
• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering
• Install pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves for water treatment equipment using hand or power tools
• Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to the required angle using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines
• Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures
• Travel to customer locations (some overnight travel required)
• This is a full-time, Tuesday through Saturday
