Job summary

Whaley Foodservice is seeking an experienced technician to diagnose, repair, and service commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC in customer locations. You will manage parts orders, update customers, and maintain vehicle and tools to Whaley standards.

Qualifications

• Three years experience in commercial kitchen cooking, refrigeration, and/or HVAC repair.
• High school graduate/GED or the equivalent in experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Communicate repair status updates with customer and branch office.
• Coordinate parts orders with branch.
• Complete service calls accurately and in a timely manner.
• Audit truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms according to Whaley standards and safety first.
• Meet on-call requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Properly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking (hot-side) kitchen equipment, Commercial refrigeration, and or HVAC.
• Communicates repair status updates with customer and branch office.
• Communicate parts order(s) with branch.
• Completes service calls accurately and in a timely manner.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms consistent with Whaley standards and and safety first.
• Meet on-call requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Three years experience in commercial kitchen cooking, refrigeration, and/or HVAC repair.
• High school graduate/GED or the equivalent in experience

Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus.
• Journeyman License and or CFESA certification not required, but would be a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
• Good driving record.
