Job summary

Tecta America Corporation seeks a Superintendent to lead commercial roofing crews and subcontractors. You will implement safety practices, read blueprints, and coordinate with project teams to meet schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Commercial Roofing experience.
• Experience with various Commercial Roofing systems (e.g. single-ply, torch, rubberized asphalt, metal, coatings).
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints / shop drawings.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel to multiple job sites.
• Outlook and Excel proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Position Identification: Superintendent

Salaried Position OT Exempt

Reports to: VP of Operations

Position Summary:

This position involves working with existing supervisors and supervises production crews and subcontractors. This position also is responsible for implementing safety and best practices.

Job Functions:

• Manage and supervise commercial roofing crews and subcontractors.
• Read and understand project field manuals of various roofing systems and manufacturers.
• Ensures company safety procedures are implemented and followed.
• Attends and participates in project meetings.
• Establish / maintain lines of communication with external and internal customers (GC’s, Building Owners, Owners Representatives, Consultants, Project Managers, Estimators, etc).
• Ensure projects are completed in the most efficient manner to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Ensures customer expectations are met or exceeded.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Requirements):

• 5+ years of Commercial Roofing experience.
• Experience with various Commercial Roofing systems (i.e.- single -ply, torch, hot rubberized asphalt, metal, coatings, etc).
• Strong interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints / shop drawings.
• Ability to multitask on various tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to travel to and manage multiple job sites.
• Computer literate in Outlook and Excel preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Working Conditions:

Physical surroundings

Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature. Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, both hot and cold and in windy conditions.
