Job summary

Superior Services R.S.H., Inc. (Michigan) is hiring a Commercial Roofing Project Manager / Estimator to lead bid development and manage projects through closeout.

You will review drawings, perform takeoffs, price proposals, and supervise a Field Superintendent to ensure delivery aligns with the bid. Ideal candidates will have commercial roofing or construction estimating experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate with customers, GCs, suppliers, and field crews.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating commercial roofing or commercial construction with accurate takeoffs and pricing.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects from award through completion.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, scopes, and contracts.
• Proficiency with computers, mobile devices, and estimating or project-management software.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and projects simultaneously.
• Commercial roofing experience is preferred; Duro-Last or single-ply experience is a plus.
• A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent are required.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and existing conditions to determine the roofing scope, system, and details.
• Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs using estimating software, and price projects to company standards.
• For negotiated work, provide technical scope, takeoff, and pricing for Account Managers to present.
• For specified and new-construction work, own the entire bid from invitation to submission, post-bid review, and award.
• After award, manage the project: submittals, purchasing, scheduling, cost control, change orders, customer/GC communication, documentation, and closeout.
• Supervise a Field Superintendent to ensure scope, materials, and information are available.
• Compare actual results to estimate and capture learnings for future bids.

What You’ll Do:

Pay: $85,000 to $105,000 per year, plus performance bonuses

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Work Location: On-site in either Grand Rapids, MI or Lansing, MI, with limited travel to project sites
