Job summary

Quest Personnel in Houston is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a growing portfolio of commercial roofing projects. You will coordinate with Superintendents, crews, suppliers, and customers to keep projects safe, on time, and within budget.

The role offers hands-on leadership, growth opportunities, and exposure to large-scale roofing initiatives in the Houston area. Previous PM or Assistant PM experience is a strong fit for this position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing or commercial construction.
• 3+ years in a leadership role managing crews, jobs, or field teams.
• 3+ years managing larger, multi-phase construction projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial roofing and general construction.
• Comfortable reading drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Good understanding of OSHA and job-site safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage several commercial roofing projects from start to finish, making sure they stay on schedule and within budget.
• Put together project plans covering labor, materials, equipment, scheduling, and overall production.
• Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to make sure everyone understands what needs to be done.
• Work closely with Superintendents and crews to make sure projects are progressing as planned.
• Make sure projects are properly staffed and that crews have the tools, equipment, and materials they need.
• Track job costs against progress and flag any issues before they become bigger problems.
• Handle material takeoffs and coordinate orders around project schedules and billing.
• Run pre-construction meetings and take part in project meetings throughout the job.
• Identify any work that's outside the original scope and communicate it to the relevant people.
• Stay in regular contact with customers, Superintendents, crews, and internal teams to keep projects moving.
• Make sure OSHA and company safety requirements are being followed across all projects.
• Help coach and support Superintendents with project and job-site management.
• Look for ways to improve production, efficiency, and overall project performance.
• Carry out post-project reviews and look at what could be done better on future jobs.

Do you have experience running multiple large-scale roofing projects and working closely with field teams to keep everything on track?

If so, this could be a great opportunity for you. A well-established commercial roofing contractor is looking to bring on an experienced Project Manager to help oversee a growing portfolio of commercial roofing projects.

The company have been established as a leading Texas commercial roofing provider since the early 60s. You'll be working closely with Superintendents, crews, suppliers, and customers to make sure projects are running safely, on time, and within budget. The company has a strong pipeline of work and is looking for someone who can take ownership of projects from the early planning stages right through to completion.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of responsibility and a good amount of room to grow. You'll be joining an experienced team and have the opportunity to work on some large and complex commercial roofing projects.

• Able to manage several projects and priorities at the same time.
• Comfortable getting out on job sites, assessing what's needed, and helping find solutions.
• Positive, practical, and willing to get stuck in when problems come up.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Construction or project management qualifications are a plus.
• Comfortable working on active job sites and outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Able to climb ladders, walk job sites, and occasionally lift up to 25–50 lbs.
