Job summary

Schwickert's Tecta America is seeking a Commercial Roofing Foreman to lead a crew of roofers installing commercial roofing products and systems, ensuring quality and safety on every project.

Starting pay ranges from $30-$45+ per hour based on experience and qualifications, with eligibility for up to a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The role includes planning daily activities, organizing materials, and providing training and supervision to field employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of blueprint reading and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Extensive knowledge of roofing products and systems.
• Advanced planning skills for maximizing productivity of workforce, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret general business publications and technical procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Basic arithmetic and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect roofs for damages and leaks.
• Perform roof repairs as needed.
• Complete field inspections.
• Develop a scope of work with a budget.
• Organize a materials list.
• Provide training, leadership and direction to field employees.
• Train employees on safety procedures and equipment.
• Maximize productivity while maintaining job costs and safety.
• Plan and participate as an instructor in company education programs.
• Promote proper work ethic and enforce company policies.
• Clean rooftops by snow and ice removal and debris cleanup.

The Foreman will be responsible for leading a crew of roofers whom install commercial roofing products and systems with the highest degree of quality, in the safest and most cost effective manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect roofs for damages and leaks
• Perform roof repairs as needed
• Completing field inspections
• Develop a scope of work with a budget
• Organize a materials list
• Provide training, leadership and direction to the field employees under their supervision.
• Train employees on safety procedures and safety equipment.
• Maximize productivity while maintaining job costs, installation quality and employee safety.
• Ensure the proper utilization of materials and equipment.
• Plan, administrate, and participate as an instructor in Company sponsored education programs for the workforce.
• Promote proper work ethic and enforce the Company's policies, procedures and practices.
• Clean rooftops by snow removal, ice removal and other debris
• Additional duties

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient knowledge of PC software applications including Word and Excel.
• Possesses a working knowledge in blueprint reading and specifications.
• Valid driver's license
• Extensive knowledge with multiple types of roofing products and systems.
• Advanced planning skills for establishing maximum productivity of workforce, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands, have to talk, and hear.
