Job summary

Roof Technology Partners is seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimator based in Dallas or Houston to deliver accurate, competitive bids across branch markets. This role partners with branch sales personnel, operations managers, and the VP of Sales & Marketing to align cost, quality, and margins with RTP standards.

Ideal candidates read plans, perform takeoffs, and use estimating software and Excel to build robust cost analyses. 2+ years of experience and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Read plans and specifications to perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• 2+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience with a company generating $3M+ in annual revenue.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong math skills; ability to perform and verify cost calculations with precision.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Produce complete, accurate estimates across branch markets per cost and profit guidelines.
• Perform material takeoffs from plans and specifications; compile full estimates from takeoffs and quotes.
• Review project documents to identify insurance, bonding, overhead, and scope requirements.
• Apply correct overhead and profit factors to final cost.
• Finalize and submit bids on time; attend pre-bid meetings as needed.
• Maintain an active log of all estimates including bid amounts, dates, and outcomes.
• Analyze bid results to refine strategy and improve win rate.
• Ensure a clean handoff of won jobs to Operations.
