Job summary

Roof Technology Partners, a Birmingham-based commercial roofing contractor, seeks a Commercial Roofing Estimator to produce accurate, competitive estimates across markets including TX, GA, AL. You will work with branch sales, ops managers, and the VP of Sales & Marketing to ensure timely, profitable bids aligned with cost and margin standards.

The role requires reading plans, performing takeoffs, and applying overhead and profit factors.

Qualifications

• Read plans and specs to produce costed estimates
• 2+ years of commercial roofing estimating with $3M+ revenue background
• Proficient in estimating software and Excel
• Strong math and cost-calculation accuracy
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Produce complete estimates according to cost and profit guidelines
• Perform takeoffs from plans and quotes; compile full estimates
• Review documents for insurance, bonding, overhead, and scope requirements
• Submit bids on time and participate in pre-bid activities
• Maintain bid logs and analyze win/loss data to refine strategy
• Handoff won jobs to Operations and support budgeting assumptions
