Job summary

D. C. Taylor Co. is seeking a commercial roof technician to participate in all facets of the roofing trade, from tear-off to repair and maintenance. Primary systems installed include TPO, PVC, and EPDM.

You will work with a crew to remove and install roofing systems safely, inspect safety equipment daily, and follow company policies under supervision. Weekly meetings cover safety, progress, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of performing strenuous physical activity related to tear-off and lifting.
• Must be computer literate and able to read and follow written instructions.
• GED level reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required.

• Must be computer literate.
• Must have GED level of reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions

• This is a Safety Sensitive position that requires pre-employment and occasional customer required urinalysis drug screens and a pre-employment “fit test” physical.
• Ability to consistently travel for 1-2 weeks at a time, occasionally up to 5 weeks.
• Ability to work in various outside weather conditions, including extreme hot and cold weather.
• Ability to climb up and down access points to commercial/industrial roofs at varying heights.
