Job summary

D. C. Taylor Co. is seeking a Commercial Roof Technician in Barrington, IL. You will participate in all aspects of roofing from tear-off to repair, working with a crew to install systems including TPO, PVC, and EPDM.

Responsibilities include safety inspections, equipment maintenance, and daily two-way communication with supervisors. Travel may occur for project timelines and site coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be computer literate.

Commercial Roof Technician

Roofing Roofer BARRINGTON, IL, Lake Barrington, IL, US

Salary Range: $20.00 To $30.00 Hourly

Position Summary

As a commercial roof technician, your primary goal is being involved in all aspects of the roofing trade, from tear-off to repair and maintenance. Primary roofing systems installed include TPO, PVC, and EPDM. Your role includes:

• Teamwork: Working with crew members to remove and install commercial roofing systems in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure projects are completed according to D. C. Taylor Co. policy under the direction of your supervisor.
• Safety: Inspect safety equipment daily and ensure all company equipment is in safe working conditions. Follow all safety procedures and policies established by D. C. Taylor Co. at all times.
• Operations: Assist with good housekeeping practice on the roof and staging roof areas with equipment and required materials. Participate in weekly meetings to discuss job site safety, project progress, and

Working Conditions

• This is a Safety Sensitive position that requires pre-employment and occasional customer required urinalysis drug screens and a pre-employment “fit test” physical.
• Ability to consistently travel for 1-2 weeks at a time, occasionally up to 5 weeks.
• Ability to work in various outside weather conditions, including extreme hot and cold weather.
• Ability to climb up and down access points to commercial/industrial roofs at varying heights.
