Job summary

Sullivan Tire and Auto Service is seeking a Road Service Technician to perform tire and tire-related services for customers at our commercial facility or on the road as needed.

This role requires safe work practices, the ability to lift 125 lbs, a valid driver’s license with a DOT medical card, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service while maintaining the company’s high safety standards. You will work independently, document work, and participate in ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Mounts, demounts, balances and repairs tires and wheels as directed by the manager.
• Organizes the work site, the vehicles and the appropriate tools and equipment for optimum job efficiency and safety.
• Inspects tires, vehicles and equipment before and after service; notes other needed services; makes recommendations to customer.
• Documents work performed accurately and according to company policy.
• Provides the highest level of customer satisfaction to establish long-term customer relationships and enhance company reputation.
• Operates company vehicles safely and according to company policies and procedures.
• Inspects service truck daily, keeps truck and work areas clean and organized.
• Performs and/or instructs other service-related duties such as wheel refurbishment and painting, tire foam fill, tire/casing receiving, moving and loading.
• Performs and/or instructs other shop activities as assigned by the Commercial Service Manager.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
• Become TIA CTS Certified.

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, is seeking a Road Service Technician. This position will perform tire and tire-related services according to customer needs both at the commercial service facility and/or on a limited basis on the road.

Responsibilities

• Works safely at all times, according to standards and policies of OSHA and TIA and complies with company standards and policies regarding safety and efficient performance of services.
• Mounts, demounts, balances and repairs commercial and other tires and wheels as directed by the manager.
• Organizes the work site, the vehicles and the appropriate tools and equipment for optimum job efficiency and safety.
• Follows established procedures to inspect tires, vehicles and equipment before and after service, and notes other needed services; makes recommendations to customer.
• Documents work performed accurately and according to company policy.
• Provides the highest level of customer satisfaction to establish long-term customer relationships and enhance company reputation.
• Operates company vehicles safely and according to company policies and procedures, and follows all federal, state and local laws regarding vehicle operations and safety.
• Inspects service truck daily, and keeps truck and work areas clean, organized, and well maintained, and uses all company property, vehicles, facilities, tools or equipment properly; notifies manager of need for repairs and maintenance, etc.
• Performs and/or instructs other service-related duties such as wheel refurbishment and painting, tire foam fill, tire/casing receiving, moving and loading.
• Performs and/or instructs other shop activities as assigned by the Commercial Service Manager.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
• Become TIA CTS Certified.

Requirements

Education/Experience

• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Prior tire service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 125 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License with DOT medical card required.
