Job summary

Sullivan Tire Co. is seeking a Road Service Technician to perform tire and related services at our commercial service facility and on the road as needed. You will mount, demount, balance, repair tires, inspect equipment, document work, and maintain safety and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid DOT medical card, and ability to lift up to 125 lbs; prior tire service experience is preferred and you will become TIA CTS certified.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Prior tire service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 125 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License with DOT medical card required.

Responsibilities

• Works safely at all times per OSHA and company policy.
• Mounts, demounts, balances and repairs tires and wheels as directed.
• Organizes the work site, vehicles and tools for efficiency and safety.
• Inspects tires, vehicles and equipment before and after service; notes needed services.
• Documents work performed accurately per company policy.
• Provides highest level of customer satisfaction to build long-term relationships.
• Operates company vehicles safely and follows all laws and policies.
• Keeps truck and work area clean and well maintained.
• Performs/teaches wheel refurbishment, tire foam fill, and loading duties.
• Performs other shop tasks as assigned by Commercial Service Manager.
• Takes on additional responsibilities as requested.
• Path to CTS certification through TIA.

Description

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, is seeking a Road Service Technician. This position will perform tire and tire-related services according to customer needs both at the commercial service facility and/or on a limited basis on the road.

Responsibilities

• Works safely at all times, according to standards and policies of OSHA and TIA and complies with company standards and policies regarding safety and efficient performance of services.
• Mounts, demounts, balances and repairs commercial and other tires and wheels as directed by the manager.
• Organizes the work site, the vehicles and the appropriate tools and equipment for optimum job efficiency and safety.
• Follows established procedures to inspect tires, vehicles and equipment before and after service, and notes other needed services; makes recommendations to customer.
• Documents work performed accurately and according to company policy.
• Provides the highest level of customer satisfaction to establish long‑term customer relationships and enhance company reputation.
• Operates company vehicles safely and according to company policies and procedures, and follows all federal, state and local laws regarding vehicle operations and safety.
• Inspects service truck daily, and keeps truck and work areas clean, organized, and well maintained, and uses all company property, vehicles, facilities, tools or equipment properly; notifies manager of need for repairs and maintenance, etc.
• Performs and/or instructs other service‑related duties such as wheel refurbishment and painting, tire foam fill, tire/casing receiving, moving and loading.
• Performs and/or instructs other shop activities as assigned by the Commercial Service Manager.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
• Become TIA CTS Certified.
