Job summary

Sullivan Tire And Auto Service is seeking a Road Service Technician to perform tire and related services at our commercial service facility and, on a limited basis, on the road. You will mount, demount, balance tires, inspect vehicles, document work, and help build long-term customer relationships.

You will operate safely, follow OSHA/TIA standards, maintain the service truck, and aspire to become TIA CTS Certified while performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; tire experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 125 lbs and perform manual tasks safely.
• Valid driver's license with DOT medical card required.
• Strong customer service orientation and safe work habits.

Responsibilities

• Mount, demount, balance and repair tires and wheels as directed.
• Operate safely and follow OSHA, TIA, and company policies.
• Inspect tires and vehicles, document work, and recommend services.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and properly equipped.
• Provide high-level customer satisfaction and build relationships.
• Become TIA CTS Certified and perform other duties as assigned.

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, is seeking a Road Service Technician. This position will perform tire and tire-related services according to customer needs both at the commercial service facility and/or on a limited basis on the road.

Responsibilities

• Works safely at all times, according to standards and policies of OSHA and TIA and complies with company standards and policies regarding safety and efficient performance of services.
• Mounts, demounts, balances and repairs commercial and other tires and wheels as directed by the manager.
• Organizes the work site, the vehicles and the appropriate tools and equipment for optimum job efficiency and safety.
• Follows established procedures to inspect tires, vehicles and equipment before and after service, and notes other needed services; makes recommendations to customer.
• Documents work performed accurately and according to company policy.
• Provides the highest level of customer satisfaction to establish long-term customer relationships and enhance company reputation.
• Operates company vehicles safely and according to company policies and procedures, and follows all federal, state and local laws regarding vehicle operations and safety.
• Inspects service truck daily, and keeps truck and work areas clean, organized, and well maintained, and uses all company property, vehicles, facilities, tools or equipment properly; notifies manager of need for repairs and maintenance, etc.
• Performs and/or instructs other service-related duties such as wheel refurbishment and painting, tire foam fill, tire/casing receiving, moving and loading.
• Performs and/or instructs other shop activities as assigned by the Commercial Service Manager.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
• Become TIA CTS Certified.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Prior tire service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 125 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License with DOT medical card required.
