Job summary

Volarify in Livonia, MI, seeks an Intermediate Carpenter for commercial restoration and reconstruction projects. The role focuses on supporting reconstruction efforts, supervising unskilled labor, and developing scope with estimators, while running projects with minimal supervision.

You will work on framing, cabinetry, trim, insulation, and other carpentry tasks, travel as needed, and join safety trainings. This is a hands-on, level-3 position in our progressive carpenter track.

Qualifications

• Extensive carpentry experience.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Assist with scope development with estimators and run projects autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems and request guidance as needed.
• Answer questions and direct complex queries to the right resource.
• Move and protect contents without damage; create containment for dust and contaminants.
• Perform flood cutting, salvaging, and labeling of baseboards, cabinetry, doors, etc.
• Attend shrink-wrap training and complete 4 projects with shrink wrap.
• Identify insulation types and their R-values; apply materials knowledge to tasks.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment; ensure safety compliance and timekeeping.
• Meet client standards for safeguarding property and customer service.
